Discover the vibrant flavors of homemade pesto that will elevate any dish!


📝 INGREDIENTS: 


2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed  

1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil  

1/3 cup pine nuts (or walnuts)  

2 cloves garlic, peeled  

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese  

Salt and pepper to taste  

1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)  


🔔 INSTRUCTIONS: 


STEP 1: PREPARE THE INGREDIENTS  

- Wash the basil leaves thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel. 


STEP 2: BLEND THE PESTO  

- In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, and garlic. Pulse until coarsely chopped.  

- Scrape down the sides of the bowl, then slowly add the olive oil while the processor is running until the mixture is smooth. 


STEP 3: ADD CHEESE AND SEASON  

- Add the grated Parmesan cheese and pulse until combined.  

- Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice to taste. Blend again until smooth.


STEP 4: STORE OR SERVE  

- Transfer the pesto to a jar or airtight container. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week or frozen for longer storage.
