📝 INGREDIENTS: 


1 ½ cups all-purpose flour  

1 cup granulated sugar  

½ cup unsalted butter, softened  

2 large eggs  

1 cup fresh orange juice  

1 tablespoon orange zest  

2 teaspoons baking powder  

½ teaspoon salt  

1 teaspoon vanilla extract  


🔔 INSTRUCTIONS: 


STEP 1: PREPARE THE OVEN AND PAN  

- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.


STEP 2: MIX THE BATTER  

- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.  

- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.  

- Stir in the orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract until combined.  


STEP 3: COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS  

- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.  

- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.


STEP 4: BAKE THE CAKE  

- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.  

- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.


STEP 5: COOL AND SERVE  

- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.  

- Once cooled, you can dust the top with powdered sugar or serve it with whipped cream if desired.
