📝 INGREDIENTS: 


200 grams unsalted butter, softened

200 grams granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

200 grams all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

100 milliliters milk

STEP 1: PREPARE THE OVEN AND PAN

- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.


STEP 2: CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR

- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. This should take about 3-5 minutes.


STEP 3: ADD EGGS AND VANILLA

- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the vanilla extract until combined.


STEP 4: COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS

- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.


STEP 5: MIX DRY INGREDIENTS WITH WET INGREDIENTS

- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.


STEP 6: BAKE THE CAKE

- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
